Did you hear the loud "YIPPEE" that came from Lainey's mom a few weeks ago? Finally, after nearly 2 years of waiting, calling, e-mailing, and tracking, Lainey received her Certificate of Citizenship on 3 Feb o6. Once again (her passport also designates her as a US citizen) she has officially become a US citizen. Yeah for the red, white, and blue. I owe a great big thanks to the folks working at the US Consulate in Frankfurt. If it had not been for them, I think that this battle would still be going on.

Congrats to Lainey!! It's a great feeling knowing everything is done and that there are no questions about her citizenship.
So what were the problems? Just hold-ups related to living in Germany? You should be just fine with Sierra's COC, so I'm sure that is a relief!

How could you leave out the exciting part about the beautiful cake you made for them? They thought we were crazy, two women, a three year old and a cake--yup, pretty suspicious! :) Oh and Lainey's toy cell phone had to be checked at the door! We always have the best adventures don't we?
